A company with sales of office products to all types of organizations is increasingly exposed to competition from both new competitors and old ones. In order to maintain its pressure on the market while developing the knowledge of the sales reps, an efficient sales support is required. A project is started with the goal to implement one common organization where five departments will be one and with the move of a number of employees into new positions. The current manager is not up to expectations and leaves the company.
Since some changes already had begun, management does not want time and resources to be wasted, and Xplan is asked to implement the organizational change, while managing the daily work. Xplan’s consultant proposes and implements a slightly modified organizational change within a couple of months and at the same time leads the daily work, with a total of about 25 employees (including two middle managers).
The dat-to-day business continues without interruptions and the support to the sales reps remains intact. A new manager is recruited and can immediately become operational in the new organization.
